For the world I am displayed;
They always watch but cannot see
through my masquerade.

I feel every moment fly;
My heart is beating, pulse racing,
breath held as I lie.

My innocence I can't defend;
I know that surely this will linger
'til my very end.

I brought this all upon myself;
Mask upon mask, lie upon lie
like valueless wealth.

Dare I take these masks off – no!
My former self haunts me
everywhere I go.

False glory, false honor, false fame;
With all these masks I seem to have
forgotten my own name.

you say forever.what does the word "forever" mean
if forever doesn't exist?

Let GoThe memories of the past never seem to fade,
and all the while, the feelings only seem to grow.
It all cuts deep into me, like the sharpest blade,
and yet, it all happened so long ago.

I want to let go, but I'm so afraid,
There are just so many things I want you to know.
The emotions I have, just seem to cascade,
These are the feelings, I don't want to show.

My mind seems to wander, it will never evade,
I can't seem to forget, how much I need you so.
Happiness eludes me, it's such a charade,
Sometimes I wish I could shift time and fore-go.

My thoughts play out like a full masquerade,
followed by guilt and endless sorrow.

Don't you dare belittle me.
Today, I have had enough;
I snapped and I shot back
To show you I've had it tough.

Days pass on like years

Life feels so dull
Without your mesmerizing eyes and goofy smile,
My heart pains with aching
Without the never- ending joy I have when I see you...

It all points to being love struck,
But I'm scared to trust you,

Monsters, destruction, and sweet butterflies
Hopscotch and daisies, surrounded by screams
Beautiful dresses now torn at the seams
Crayons and paintbrushes, villains and grins
Young, gladsome innocence, hatred and sins
Little red houses on roads left to fade
Gorgeous moonlight shining off of the blade
Blood pouring out as she cries her own name
Knowing she's forced to take each bit of blame
She could have stopped it and left it behind
All of these things in her troubled young mind
She could have saved them if she dared to try

The walls painted black, the floor covered in blood.
Tears running down her cheek, her hair covers the deep wounds.
She aims the knife against her throat; "the one deeply wounded
shall not continue his journey in pain, but rather live forever in paradise".

This is sweet. I originally clicked on it though because I thought you were referring to the song from the musical Next to Normal called Perfect for You. It's about a crazy family trying to hold it all together, and the daughter is having issues with her bf because of it, and she just keeps telling him that she's fucked up and he's like, 'awesome, because that's perfect, adn I could be perfect for you' and stuff and it's sweet. There's two parts to it and... yeah. Anyway, like I said, this is really sweet.
